ABFA December 2015 Client Numbers Growth Reflects Low Product Awareness

New statistics from the ABFA (Asset Based Finance Association) to the end of December 2015, show factoring and invoice discounting (including export) client numbers grew by only 0.4% over the course of the year. This continues to suggest that more needs to be done to raise the profile of these products.

Our research has consistently found that low levels of product awareness, and promotion / advertising, is failing to bring these cash flow solutions to all the SMEs that need them, despite the fact that 98% of existing users would recommend factoring and discounting. Our research showed that 47% of existing users hadn't noticed any invoice finance related advertising over the preceeding year and awareness of crowdfunding adverts is 6 times higher than awareness of invoice finance related advertising.
